Sojourner House Office Build-Out Providence, RI
Our team completed a design-and-build project for Sojourner House Inc. (SHI) renovating and expanding their main office.
The project involved cutting off the attic and constructing a full third floor with 10 modern office rooms, while also renovating the first and second floors.
Throughout construction, the building remained partially occupied, allowing SHI to continue operations as much as possible, while carefully preserving the historic façade and appearance.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS
Renovating the main office in an occupied building required phased construction, strict coordination, and temporary adjustments to minimize disruption.
Structural modifications were needed to add the third floor, while new systems were integrated across all floors without compromising safety or the building’s exterior.
The project delivered a fully functional, visually consistent office space that supports SHI’s operational needs and growth.
